Bulk Screened Topsoil Delivery
Screened topsoil is soil run through a screen to pull out rocks, roots and debris, so it arrives ready for lawns, gardens, grading, filling low spots and new sod. In Stow and across Summit County it is sold and delivered by O'Bryan Topsoil and Compost, the material side of a Stow company that has been independently owned since 1993, out of its own yard at 859 Seasons Rd. It is sold by the cubic yard, and one cubic yard covers about 100 square feet at three inches deep, so a 20 by 25 foot bed at that depth is about five yards. The yard helps work out how many yards a job takes. Delivery is by dump truck, up to 5 yards of topsoil per load, placed where the truck can safely reach, typically the curb or the end of a driveway. Delivery is $50 per load, and free on 4 yards or more in Stow or Hudson.
Leaf Compost Delivery
Leaf compost is leaf material aged until it breaks down into a dark, crumbly product, used to build new beds, feed vegetable gardens and work into tired lawns. Worked into heavy clay it improves drainage, and in sandy soil it helps hold moisture where roots can reach it. In Stow and across Summit County it is sold and delivered in bulk by O'Bryan Topsoil and Compost, the material side of a Stow company that has been independently owned since 1993, out of its own yard at 859 Seasons Rd. Asphalt Millings Delivery
Asphalt millings are recycled road surface, ground up when a road is resurfaced and sold as a driveway and lane material. Spread and compacted in warm weather, the binder in the millings softens and the material knits together, so a millings drive sheds water better than loose gravel and keeps old road surface out of the landfill. They are best installed in the heat. In Stow and across Summit County they are sold and delivered by O'Bryan Topsoil and Compost, the material side of a Stow company that has been independently owned since 1993, out of its own yard at 859 Seasons Rd. - When is the best time to have millings put down?
- Warm weather. Heat helps the material knit together as it is compacted, so summer installs set up firmer than cold weather ones.
